Speak to any web designer and they will give you their tips for getting the best rankings on major search engines. Most 'experts' aggree that there is no substitute for a well put together website with plenty of content relevant to the subject to get a high ranking in the search engines. The problem is, that everyone wants to be top of the search rankings in their chosen field and as everyone cannot be top of the list, designers resort to all kinds of tricks to get best position.

Let's look at the actual problem

Imagine your company sells shower trays, a recent search for 'shower trays' returned over 432,000 hits. How can an independent company stand any chance of getting anywhere near to the top of the rankings but there are many SEO companies around who will promise to get you to the top of the rankings. They will get you to the top of the rankings but what they fail to mention is that you will not be at the top of the list for 'shower trays' but for some unconnected search term.

SEO Experiment

As an experiment we recently added the silly phrase 'tipplenipple search engine drivel pump' to our page titles. It took a while for it to be indexed but if you Google for it (Click Here) there it is at number 1!!!!. The fact that it is the only result is not important as we can rightly claim to be able to get top ranking on Google. Could this be a fluke? Well what happens with our other featured product, a 'left handed crux ployst'? it took a couple of weeks but if you do the search, there it is!

We don't offer specific SEO services but the sites we produce usually get quite a high ranking because we fill them with relevant content and our clients report healthy traffic via the major search engines which allows us to say we must be doing the right things with regard to SEO.
